Welcome to Roosevelt Elementary School

A Word From Our Principal

Principal - Deanna Pelasky
Theodore Roosevelt School is home to 450 TK- 6 students.  Our staff, students, and community work together to create a safe school environment that gives all students the opportunity to be successful. Our school mission demonstrates our desire for all students to succeed as they move through their education. Vision Statement
Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School is a positive, accepting environment that nurtures the individuality of all students as they discover their full potential. Students will become college and career ready through communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.
Throughout the school year you can expect to see Roosevelt students working on Common Core tasks, participating in STEAM throughout the day, being kind to each other, as well as being respectful, responsible, and safe. They will also have opportunities to participate in tutoring, PAL, special activities with their teachers, general and instrumental music and “star buck” parties. As we progress through the 2018-2019 school year, the school community can expect great outcomes from our Roosevelt students.
Of special note:  We are excited about our upcoming construction for a “new” Roosevelt.  January 7, 2019, we will start school at 1010 S. Harbor Blvd.  Our staff, students and families are excited for this new adventure and look forward to the reconstruction with a completion date of June 2020. The bus routes and schedule can be found in the link above.

2018 Speak Up Survey

Be a part of the conversation! We will be participating in the Speak Up Research Project. Speak Up is the first survey designed to help parents share their ideas directly with schools and national policymakers and will also provide Anaheim Elementary School District the opportunity to learn about the unique digital learning aspirations of our teachers, students and parents. As key stakeholders, Speak Up provides parents with a mechanism for expressing their views to the administrators at their child’s school and district about key issues impacting their child’s education.
