A Word From Our Principal

Hello families of Roosevelt Elementary,

I am extremely honored to begin as your new principal at the amazing Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School, where we strive on Cultivating Innovative Learners. Having been with the district since 2013, I understand the many programs and supports implemented here in AESD to set our students up for success. I believe in accepting the uniqueness of each student, and it has been wonderful meeting all the beautiful scholars at Roosevelt Elementary. I look forward to getting to know them better and ensuring they receive high quality instruction in a supportive and caring environment.  Building rapport with students and families to ensure they experience a sense of belonging is one of my main visions as an educator and I am excited to work in a school that values the same.

We are also excited to announce that Roosevelt will be offering Dual Language Immersion in both Spanish in grades K-4th and Mandarin in Transitional Kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year. We are the first school in AESD to be adding another language to our site in addition to Spanish, and are thrilled for this opportunity. Mandarin is one of the most spoken languages in the world and adding this language will assist in cultivating an understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures while preparing students to be global leaders! 

Our school community also understands the needs of various families and offers options for both before and after-school! Our Anaheim Succeeds program consists of multiple clubs and enrichment opportunities such as dance, sports, chess, and writing, which all contribute to a well-rounded education. Anaheim Achieves also provides after-school care for students! We hope you consider enrolling in one of the many amazing programs Roosevelt offers!
