Message from The Principal
Dear Jefferson Families,
I am delighted to welcome all of you to the new school year! I am excited and honored to begin my journey as the principal of Jefferson Elementary School, and I am looking forward to getting to know you and your children.
Our primary focus at Jefferson Elementary School will be to ensure a safe and engaging environment while we address the academic, emotional, and physical well-being of our students. Students and their families are at the center of all that we do. It is our goal that your child feels connected and valued as a contributing member of our school community.
I am eager to serve our students as they continue to learn and grow as kind citizens and hard-working scholars. Through a strong home-school connection and collaboration, we will ensure that our Jefferson Eagles engage in meaningful learning opportunities and have a successful school year!
We cannot do the work we do without you, and each year we strive to strengthen our home-school partnership. I welcome you to attend coffee chats, school site council meetings, PTA meetings, and Family Welcome Wednesdays. Jefferson is very fortunate to have a wonderful parent/school community, and your support makes a difference.
The Jefferson Staff is ready to work and assist you with anything you need. Please let us know how we can serve your family’s educational needs in the coming school year.

School Site Council Meetings
Dear Jefferson School Families,
Below you will find the schedule for upcoming Virtual School Site Council (SSC) meetings. The SSC/ELAC meeting agendas will be posted 72 hours before the meeting date. Meeting minutes will be posted after each meeting. Meetings are held from 2:15 – 3:15 pm.
Meeting Dates
Open Enrollment for 2025-2026 School Year
Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year will begin on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at all school sites during Saturday School. Families can begin the enrollment process by clicking here: AESD Enrollment Website or stop by the school office where computers are available.
Prepare for enrollment for your preschool/TK/ or Kindergarten scholar by gathering the following documents:
- A certified copy of a birth certificate, a duly attested baptism certificate, or a passport
- Immunization Record
- Proof of address within the last 30 days as required on the Residence Verification form.
Please note: all students that turn 4 years old by September 1, 2025, may enroll for Transitional Kindergarten. All students that turn 5 years old by September 1, 2025, will be enrolled in Kindergarten. We look forward to assisting you with the enrollment of your child for the 2025-2026 school year!
