Jefferson believes that family and community engagement is a fundamental component to student success and achievement. When families are engaged at home and at school, student achievement increases. The engagement of families and community members in the education of our children creates a positive bond between the home and school.

www.commonsensemedia.org Common Sense Media helps families and educators make smart media choices. They have a parent concerns and parent blog that help families understand and navigate the problems and possibilities of raising children in the digital age.
www.kidshealth.org Resource for parents on Internet Safety laws, cyberbullying, and healthy habits for t.v., video games, and the internet.
www.iste.org Technology standards for teachers and schools.
Brain Pop Jr. Through games and videos, children can learn on their own about internet safety and how to use the internet safely.
www.stopbullying.gov Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place using technology. In some ways, cyberbullying can be more prevalent and easier than real life bullying because it may be easier to hide behind a screen to say mean things. Learn more about cyberbullying, and how you can help.
