Academy Program Information
Anaheim Elementary Online Academy provides engaging student centered education that fosters students’ communication and collaboration skills. We want every student to have a voice in their education, so we create opportunities for them through our flexible program with various choices that promote equity as they develop their skills and take ownership of their learning.
Planning
Our certified instructions develop engaging rigorous lessons that foster high expectations. Teachers provided instruction that builds students’ knowledge in a progressive manner so they can flourish as they gain a deeper understanding of content.
Progress Tracking
Multi-level progress monitoring helps educators track students’ success. This process allows teachers to collect data from various resources to evaluate students’ performance. It creates opportunities for teachers to quickly identify when students need additional support.
Flexible Schedule
Anaheim Elementary Online Academy provides asynchronous learning in which students complete assignments at their own pace within a specified timeline.
Instructional Programs
Dual Language Immersion (DLI)
DLI or English Only instruction are options that we provide our students in K – 6th grade. We want all our students to have a choice when it comes to their education. Therefore, we offer students the opportunity to receive instruction in Spanish. Our language program strives at building biliteracy as they work to obtain the Seal of Biliteracy Award as they progress and acquire language.
GATE
Gifted and Talented Education Program provides instructional support for students who are identified as gifted. Students in 3rd through 6th grade who display giftedness are clustered in classes and provided differentiated instruction to enhance their skills and thinking. These students receive instruction that address the Gifted and Talented Education Standards of acceleration, depth, complexity and novelty in all subject content.
