A Word From Our Principal

Welcome to Ponderosa Elementary School, Home of the Pride!

My name is Vidal Valdez, and I am honored to be Ponderosa’s principal. Our school has a tradition of educational excellence. Our teachers have a long history of providing the best possible education to our community, and I am proud to help continue that legacy. My goal is to ensure the continued success of Ponderosa Elementary by working as a team. As principal, it is my primary goal to provide a positive learning environment in which students can excel both academically and socially.

Ponderosa offers opportunities for our parents to participate in our school through the PTA, workshops, and other parent engagement activities. I look forward to meeting as many parents as possible.

I firmly believe that every child can succeed and that cooperation between home and school builds trust and self-esteem in students. Ponderosa is a community school that aims to use all available resources to support and accelerate our students so they can reach their highest potential to shape their future and, consequently, the future of our community.

On behalf of all our staff, thank you for visiting our website. We invite you to use this site as a resource to stay informed about current events, district and school news, and information on our amazing school offerings.

Let’s work together to make this a successful year for each of our Ponderosa students.

Respectfully,

Dr. Vidal Valdez
