Welcome to Westmont Elementary School! My name is Stephanie Shumate, and I am honored to serve as the Principal in this incredible community.
At Westmont, we are more than just a school; we are a vibrant community dedicated to the success and well-being of every student. Our mission is built upon a foundation of trust and respect, ensuring that every student and family feels welcomed, heard, and supported. We take immense pride in fostering an inclusive environment where every child—regardless of their unique background or learning journey—has the opportunity to grow, thrive, belong and work at their full potential.
Our work together centers on cultivating a culture where students are empowered to be responsible, respectful, and safe learners every single day. By prioritizing high-quality literacy instruction and meaningful, collaborative partnerships, we prioritize opportunities for our students to not only meet academic standards but also develop the social-emotional skills necessary to navigate the world with confidence and kindness.
We believe that when we come together as a community to focus on these shared values, we create a school where every Wildcat can reach their full potential. I am excited to partner with you to build a bright, supportive, and engaging experience for all.
