A Word From Our Principal

Principal - Dr. Maggie Barry

Thank you for visiting the Patrick Henry Elementary School website! My name is Maggie Barry and I am proud to join the Henry Patriots as your school principal. I have been an educator in the Anaheim Elementary School District for the past twenty-eight years and even spent a couple of years as the vice principal right here at Patrick Henry! I am committed to providing each child with the best possible learning experience. I believe all children can learn, every student is an individual, and every adult can make a difference for students! I am dedicated to providing our students with a high quality education in a respectful, responsible, and safe learning environment. We will continue with our focus on Visual and Performing Arts, as this is one avenue to help all students think more critically. The use of visual thinking strategies will help deepen students’ understanding in all content areas. It is our goal and responsibility to help each student develop an enthusiasm for learning and a respect for self and others as they build the skills to become creative and independent thinkers and problem solvers.

Our staff members are your partners in your child’s education. We are proud of our Henry community and we offer opportunities for our parents to participate both inside and outside the classroom. I welcome you to join our PTA, attend school-wide events, or join our parent engagement activities this year. I look forward to meeting you.

Together, we will make this a successful year for each of our Henry Patriots.

Instructional Materials Notice of Public Hearing

Regular Board of Education Meeting of July 25, 2018 6:30 p.m

It is recommended the Board of Education declare a public hearing for the purpose of hearing comments from the public regarding whether pupils in the school will have during the 2018-19 school year sufficient textbooks and/or instructional materials consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum frameworks adopted by the California Department of Education {Education Code Sections 60119} and 60422 and is therefore, eligible to receive funding from the Pupil Textbook and Instructional Materials Incentive program (Education Code §60252).

After hearing comments from the public, the Board President will give notice that a vote on this item is scheduled for the August 22, 2018, Regular Board meeting.
