A Word From Our Principal

Madison Principal - Janet De La Concha-Pablo

Dear Madison Families:

Welcome to James Madison School. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Janet De La Concha Pablo and I am very excited to be working with you and your children this year.

At Madison, we believe in a progressive, relevant, well-rounded education. We are a S.T.E.A.M. school where every child has music, next generation science instruction, computer coding and educational technology integrated with the common core standards for a leading edge learning experience.

Every staff member at Madison is here to support your child and we encourage you to be part of our school community. Our Family and Community Engagement Specialist would be happy to talk to you about what is going on at our school. Additionally, your child’s teacher is a partner with you regarding your child’s education and they are happy to meet and discuss any questions or concerns.

I would love to get to know you as well so please feel free to come by, email, call, or come up to me when you see me around the campus. I’m here to help and I look forward to our work together. Let’s make this a successful year for all our Madison students.

2019-2020 Instructional Materials Notice of Public Hearing

It is recommended the Board of Education declare a public hearing for the purpose of hearing comments from the public regarding whether pupils in the school will have during the 2019-20 school year sufficient textbooks and/or instructional materials consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum frameworks adopted by the California Department of Education {Education Code Sections 60119} and 60422 and is therefore, eligible to receive funding from the Pupil Textbook and Instructional Materials Incentive program (Education Code §60252).

After hearing comments from the public, the Board President will give notice that a vote on this item is scheduled for the August 14, 2019, Regular Board meeting.

Karina’s Backpack Project

Karina’s Backpack Project, that was started by 14 year old Karina to bring 5000 of the highest need elementary and middle school students in Anaheim and surrounding areas together for a back to school event to give them all FREE backpacks with school supplies, Free haircuts, and groceries for the families along with a fun day filled with carnival games and activities.

On August 4, 2019 10:00 am – 4:00 pm students will receive:

  • Backpack and School Supplies
  • Groceries
  • Haircuts

2018-19 Notice of Public Hearing LCAP Plan and Proposed Budget

It is recommended the Board of Education declare a public hearing for the purpose of reviewing the proposed LCAP Plan and Proposed Budget for the 2019-20 school year within the Anaheim Elementary School District, in accordance with the provisions of Education Code Section §52062.

This public hearing is to allow for public comment and recommendations regarding the specific actions and expenditures proposed to be included in the Local Accountability Plan and the 2019-20 Budget at which time the Board will hear any relevant public comment.

The LCAP Plan and Proposed Budget are on file and available for public review at the Anaheim Elementary School District, Office of Educational Services.

After hearing comments from the public, the Board President will give notice that a vote on this item is scheduled for the June 26, 2019, Regular Board meeting.
