In the words of Tommy Lasorda, “The saddest day of the year is the day baseball season ends” (and to some teachers, maybe the day that their principal moves onto another opportunity). Today was Jesus “Jesse” Chavarria’s last day as principal at Price School. Teachers and staff wished him farewell with a send-off breakfast, and students cheered for him as his last at-bat as principal came to an end. For 5+ years as principal he committed to making this school the best it could be. Although he recently accepted a position as Interim Director of Transportation at the District Office, we know that he will always have a place in his heart for Adelaide Price Elementary. We wish him success in his new job and know he will hit it out of the park!
