Celebrating Language Learner Success

Each year, the Orange County Department of Education hosts an event to honor one to two representatives from each district for their outstanding leadership and service in supporting success for our students who are learning an additional language (i.e., English or Spanish.)  Consider nominating someone who has made success happen for our English learner or Spanish learner students.

Who can make a nomination?
any AESD employee, parent, or community member

Who can be nominated?
any certificated or classified AESD employee, parent, or community member who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and service in supporting success for students who are learning an additional language (i.e., English or Spanish)

How do I make a nomination?
Fill out this form in its entirety, and turn it into an AESD school office by February 9, 2018.

How many nominees will be honored at the event?
two from Anaheim Elementary School District

How will the two honorees be selected?
The English Learner Services Council will review all nominations and then will select two people.

When will the recognition event take place?
May 2017, the exact date has not yet been determined.
