Welcome to Palm Lane Elementary School

A Word From Our Principal

Golden Pic

Dear Palm Lane Families:

Welcome to Palm Lane School. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Tracey Golden and I am very excited to be working with you and your children this year. I believe in education and I believe in kids. My life’s work has been here in public schools and I am dedicated to working with you to provide a safe, respectful, and rigorous learning environment for your child.

At Palm Lane, we believe in a progressive, relevant, well-rounded education. Every child has music, project-based learning and educational technology integrated with the common core standards for a leading edge learning experience. We also have a dual language academy for families who choose the path of biliteracy.

Every staff member at Palm Lane is here to support your child and we encourage you to be part of our school community. Drop by our parent center in room 29 where we are happy to talk to you about what is going on at Palm Lane. Additionally, your child’s teacher is a partner with you regarding your child’s education and they are happy to meet and discuss any questions or concerns.

I would love to get to know you as well so please feel free to come by, email, call, or come up to me when you see me around the campus. I’m here to help and I look forward to our work together. Let’s make this a successful year for all our Palm Lane students.

NAMM Music Parent Survey

Please help us continue to bring music education to our students!

This survey is designed to capture parents’ perceptions of their children’s school, school climate, and music education. You should have received an opt-out form a few weeks ago about this study. All survey responses will be anonymous. You can skip any question you would like. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. By completing this survey, you agree to participate. Thank you for your help!

Project Based Learning

Palm Lane is proud to include Project Based Learning in our classroom instruction. Every student participates in a project that requires problem solving, collaboration, communication, and sustained inquiry. Each project solves a challenging problem and includes a final product that is shared publicly. Check out our video to see what students have to say about it!

College and Career Day

Every year, Palm Lane hosts a College and Career Day. Members of our community come and visit our students to talk about their college experiences and career choices. The mayor of Anaheim, Tom Tait, was able to join us!
