{"id":5020,"date":"2024-10-11T10:11:15","date_gmt":"2024-10-11T17:11:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anaheimelementary.org\/des\/?page_id=5020"},"modified":"2024-10-11T13:44:21","modified_gmt":"2024-10-11T20:44:21","slug":"non-employee-network-use-agreement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/anaheimelementary.org\/des\/non-employee-network-use-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"Non Employee Network Use Agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"py-2\">Access to the AESD network is a privilege.&nbsp; If a user violates any tenets of acceptable use his\/her account may be terminated and future Internet access may be denied.&nbsp; Some violations may also constitute a criminal offense and may result in legal action.&nbsp; Any user violating the outlined provisions, other applicable state\/federal laws, and\/or District policies is subject to loss of Internet privileges and any other legal actions as deemed appropriate by Anaheim Elementary School District officials.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Unacceptable Use<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-default\">\n<li>Using the Internet for illegal, inappropriate, or obscene purposes or in support of such activities. Illegal activities are defined as those, which violate local, state, and\/or federal laws. Inappropriate use is defined as a violation of the intended use of the network or violation of District policies. Obscene activities are defined as those which violate generally accepted social standards for use of a publicly-owned and operated communication vehicle (including, but not limited to, profanity, personal attacks on other people, organizations, religions, or ethnicity; individual harassment, and defamation);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using the Internet for any illegal activity, including violation of copyrights or other contracts that deal with institutional or third-party copyright, license agreements, and other contracts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Violating the California Education Code, including dealing with students\u2019 rights to privacy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intentionally disrupting Internet traffic or crashing the network and connected systems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Degrading or disrupting equipment or system performance or creating a computer virus and placing it on the network;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using the Internet for product advertisement or political lobbying;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using Anaheim Elementary School District information systems and resources for commercial activities, including commercial gain or fraud;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using the network to steal or retrieve data, equipment, or intellectual property including peer-to-peer file sharing or torrents of copyrighted music, films, television shows, software, or other property;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gaining unauthorized access to the files of others or vandalizing the data or files of another user;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gaining, or seeking to gain, unauthorized access to resources or entities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forging electronic mail messages or using an account owned by or assigned to another user;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invading the privacy of individuals or using the network to request home telephone numbers, addresses, or other personal information that others may use inappropriately;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Posting anonymous messages;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possessing any data or information that might be considered a violation of these rules in paper, digital, or any other form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Privacy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"py-2\">Computer files and communications over electronic networks (including e-mail, text messaging, chat, and voicemail) are not private and must not be used to transmit confidential information about students, employees, and District affairs.&nbsp; The Superintendent or designee may monitor the District\u2019s technological resources without advance notice or consent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"py-2\">The Superintendent reserves the right to restrict or terminate electronic information resources and network access at any time.&nbsp; The Superintendent further reserves the right to monitor network activity in any form that he\/she sees fit in order to maintain the integrity of the information network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Personal Responsibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"py-2\">Users are expected to maintain consistently high levels of personal responsibility regarding the use of the District\u2019s electronic information resources.&nbsp; It is expected that use be limited to curriculum, instructional, and administrative projects.&nbsp; Personal activities must be limited and will in no way interfere with the educational\/professional computer and network time, electronic resources, and the use for which the hardware and software are intended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Consequences for Violations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"py-2\">Consequences for violating the Anaheim Elementary School District Non-Employee Network Use Agreement include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Suspension or revocation of information network access, and\/or technology access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Referral to legal authorities for prosecution under California Penal Code Section 502.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wpcf7 no-js\" id=\"wpcf7-f5024-o1\" lang=\"en-US\" dir=\"ltr\" data-wpcf7-id=\"5024\">\n<div class=\"screen-reader-response\"><p role=\"status\" aria-live=\"polite\" aria-atomic=\"true\"><\/p> <ul class=\"my-2 ml-10 list-disc list-outside\"><\/ul><\/div>\n<form action=\"\/des\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/5020#wpcf7-f5024-o1\" method=\"post\" class=\"wpcf7-form init\" aria-label=\"Contact form\" novalidate=\"novalidate\" data-status=\"init\">\n<fieldset class=\"hidden-fields-container\"><input type=\"hidden\" name=\"_wpcf7\" value=\"5024\" \/><input type=\"hidden\" name=\"_wpcf7_version\" value=\"6.1.5\" \/><input type=\"hidden\" name=\"_wpcf7_locale\" value=\"en_US\" \/><input type=\"hidden\" name=\"_wpcf7_unit_tag\" value=\"wpcf7-f5024-o1\" \/><input type=\"hidden\" name=\"_wpcf7_container_post\" value=\"0\" \/><input type=\"hidden\" name=\"_wpcf7_posted_data_hash\" value=\"\" \/><input type=\"hidden\" name=\"_wpcf7_recaptcha_response\" value=\"\" \/>\n<\/fieldset>\n<div x-data=\"nonEmployeeNetworkAgreement()\" class=\"space-y-4 md:p-4\">\n  <div id=\"section_agreement\" x-show=\"!hasSubmitted\" x-collapse.duration.1000ms>\n    <div class=\"block my-4\">\n      <span class=\"wpcf7-form-control-wrap\" data-name=\"acceptance-489\"><span class=\"wpcf7-form-control wpcf7-acceptance\"><span class=\"wpcf7-list-item\"><label><input type=\"checkbox\" name=\"acceptance-489\" value=\"1\" aria-invalid=\"false\" \/><span class=\"wpcf7-list-item-label\"><span class=\"ml-4\"\n        >I have read the Non-Employee Network Use Agreement and understand these\n        policies, regulations, and guidelines. I agree to follow the rules set\n        forth in this Agreement. I understand that if I violate these rules,\n        network access may be revoked and I may be referred to legal authorities\n        for prosecution. <\/span\n      ><\/span><\/label><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"block my-4\">\n      <span class=\"wpcf7-form-control-wrap\" data-name=\"acceptance-589\"><span class=\"wpcf7-form-control class=\"ml-4\"\n        >In addition, I acknowledge that the District may review the electronic\n        files or messages sent or received using the District\u2019s computer\n        equipment or networks and hereby authorize the District to review my\n        electronic mail files.<\/span\n      ><\/span><\/label><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"block my-4\">\n
