The winter months are here and now is a good time to review some important health recommendations.
Be sure your child leaves the house with at least a jacket or sweater.
Keep your child home if he or she has a temperature of 100° or more, and do not send the child back to school until the temperature has been normal for 24 hours.
If your child develops a cold, the best treatment is rest, fluids, and acetaminophen for fever and discomfort. Do not use aspirin for children under 18 years of age.
Keep your emergency information current in the school office. It is never good for a sick child to stay in the office (feeling miserable) because a parent or other contact cannot be located.
Parent Report Card Guide
The purpose of the Anaheim Elementary School District report card is to provide families with written feedback about the learning progress of their child in association with the state-adopted standards and other important skills required of students in their successful pursuit of college or career.
Therefore, the report card should be:
Clearly understood by families, students, and teachers
An accurate and consistent communication of student performance and growth over time based upon grade-specific standards and skills
The basis of ongoing conversation between schools and families in supporting each student for success.
As a district, we encourage parents to talk with their child’s teacher in order to fully understand the progress that he or she is making.
